There is a new challenge open this week Bah! Humbug and its a challenge site just for Christmas cards, and this week we were invited to make a card using a card we were sent for Christmas (recycling) and the above card is what I made from the card on the left. As you can see I used the main image, and picked up the deep yellow in the card for the base card, I also used the yellow card and embossed it with my swiss dot folder and then backed that with deep blue card (although in the photograph it does look like black) to bring out the blue in the picture, and the same blue card was used for the corners. The sentiment was stamp with VersaMark and gold embossed.
Do go and have a look at what lovely cards the design team have made.
Jose this card is just beautiful - what a fabulous entry for our very first challenge. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in - I hope you'll come and look at our new challenge which starts tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteGood luck with the challenge.
A gorgeous card....and great to recycle like this.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment on my blog.
Hi, Jose! :o) Happy New Year to you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the visit. I see you're also doing the recycling thing! ;o) You've made a great job of this one. Anyone would be delighted to receive this one in - ooh - around ten months or so? lol ;o)
I have been having great fun recycling my cards. Can't think why, but people are taking the mick.. Seem to think it's weird making Christmas cards in January! They'll be laughing on the other sides of their faces won't they when they're all in a panic in November, and you and I will have all our cards made, with stock left over to sell! Hehe!! ;o)
Nice to hear from you.
Happy crafting!
Hugs,
Chris xx
