The challenge this week at Less is More is to use stripes and it has to be a one layer card.
I used a Penny Black stamp called constellations and embossed it in black, I did add a gem to the centre of each flower as I felt the flowers looked too black! I hope a gem isn't classed as another layer. After doing the card with the black flowers I tried it with white embossing but although it stands out on the card when I took the photograph it is hard to see. The sentiments on both cards were computer generated using Black Chancery font
Love the subtle striped backdrop for the flowers - lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove your stripes Jose...Two lovely cards

Oh these are just gorgeous. Love the black wild flowers being super imposed on the striped block stamps. Very clever.

Very clever Jose........love this CAS card!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! i do like the black one best but i bet the white one looks great in person.
ReplyDeleteA clever way of using stripes - can't be easy to think of different ideas for stripes on one layer!
ReplyDeleteGreat card - love the black flowers over the stripey blocks.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards - the black one does it for me.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Josie. I'm sure the white one looks lovely but you're right, it doesn't show up too well on the photo. You didn't say what stamp you used for the stripes?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the black card..it really pops!
ReplyDeleteThese both look sensational Jose
ReplyDeleteLOVE them!
Thank you so much

The black one definately as it pops more and in both cases you have used one of my favorite stamps. Great entry.

Great cards Jose... in the pictures the black version certainly has more impact! The photograph of the white one makes the black sentiment look a little incongruous.
ReplyDeleteThe stripy background looks terrific.
Thanks so much
