StampTV pot luck challenge this week was to make a card, no squares or rectangles allowed, so as I needed a 1st Birthday card I cut a template, covered it in designer paper and used an image kindly sent to me by Joan, then I had a try with printing text onto ribbon with instructions from Anne and Karen, I must admit it was a bit scary, I thought I would loose the ribbon in the printer, but HEY! it worked.

Happy St George's Day
I would like to wish you all a very happy St George's Day, and to mark the occassion I have made a red and white card the colours of the English flag, and for the centre piece I have put the Red rose of England, I hope you all have a happy day. I would like to thank Anne for lending me her leaf punch for the leaves I made. I used the Stampin Up Manhattan Rose embossing folder for the centrepiece, the font was computer generated using Park Avenue font.

Pink Manhattan Rose
I expect some of you have thought I have left the planet, well Im still here, just been busy and no time for cards. But today I received my Manhattan flower embossing folder so I just had to have a play, I needed a card for a friend so this is what I came up with, and it also fitted the bill for the Cupcake Card Challenge.
Used my embossing folder with pink card stock, distressed it to bring up the white highlights, and used a flat backed pearl for the centre of each flower, the text was computer generated using Park Avenue font, and finished it off by using my hole punch on the same card for the tiny circles.
